'My previous owners didn't think I'd ever stray, but somehow I got lost and couldn't find my way home. I stopped by a friendly place that advertised 'free food,' and the next thing I knew, here I am. Lots of probes and pricks by vets and now I'm ready for my furr-ever home. I really *LOVE* humans and any/all attention they can give me. I love being brushed. I like being held. I love making biscuits! I don't recall what happened to my tail (it's VERY short); could be I was born this way or ... who knows. Please consider making your home mine, I'd love to grow old with you!Noel is FIV positive. The Feline Immuno-deficiency Virus is a slow virus that affects a cat's immune system over a period of years. It is a cat-only disease and cannot be spread to humans or other non-felines. FIV cats most often live long, healthy, and relatively normal lives with no symptoms at all. FIV is not easily passed between cats. It cannot be spread casually - like in litter boxes, water and food bowls or when snuggling and playing. It is rarely spread from a mother to her kittens. The virus can be spread through blood transfusions, badly infected gums, or serious, penetrating bite wounds. (Bite wounds of this kind are extremely rare, except in free-roaming, unneutered tomcats.)
